Taymor

Summary

Challenge

Taymor has a 75 year history making hardware products known for their high quality, modern designs and affordability. They wanted to build a digital presence that reflected the attributes of their products and their leading customer experience. The current website also had specific UX issues that needed to be addressed. Research showed lack of detailed product information, complex product lines and a vague quoting process lead to confusion and user drop-off before requesting a quote.

Solution

We first focused on reorganizing the product hierarchy which was impacting how users navigated the website. Once we could get the user to the product more efficiently, we then looked at offering more details, organized information and better imagery. A new user flow was also created to allow users to request a quote more efficiently. Finally, An updated digital visual strategy was designed to better align with Taymor's digital transformation.

Outcome

Users now have a clear way to navigate to a product, find technical information and easily build a quote request. This new quote request process allows staff to respond faster and more accurately.

Contributions

I worked on end to end UX/UI design, including user testing, research, and visual design strategy. Our team included myself, a project manager, and team of engineers within the agency, partnering closely with Taymor's marketing team.

I led workshops with the client to better understand user flow, content strategy and brand story.
