I have spent over two decades shaping design across web, product, motion, print, and branding. Through a mix of agency, in-house and freelancer roles I have been exposed to a variety of industries and scales of business. This diverse career path has made me a versatile experience designer and leader with the ability to think big picture while staying connected to the finer details of my craft.
Career highlights
Roles: Senior Designer → Creative Director
Leadership: Building design culture, mentorship, client relationship management and project management.
Amazon IVS: Multi-year contract working on product, web and visual design projects.
Telus: Participated in a broad range of design projects including their customer service team software, a white label conference calling web app and marketing website pages.
Start ups to medium-sized business': Helped many organizations build their identity, web presence and product offering.
Role: Full time freelance Designer and Art Director.
Multidisciplinary design practice: print, motion graphics, identity and web design.
Developed long standing client relationships in Canada, United Kingdom and Japan.
Roles: Graphic Designer → Art Director.
Aveda: Worked on marketing campaign materials, retail signage and motion graphics for the Canadian market.
Other brands: Collega also owned a chain of salons, an interior design business and several Aveda beauty schools. Our team worked on print, web, motion graphics and identity design for all of these brands.
Skillset
Beyond design
I live in the beautiful mountain town of Squamish, just outside of Vancouver, BC. When I’m not working, I can be found outdoors biking, skiing, or hiking. Visual art and photography are important creative outlets for me, and I prefer travel that strikes a balance between adventure and culture. To me, taking the time to look around the next corner, or waking up early to catch the perfect light is never a waste of time. It is this curiosity and care in the details that helps make me the creative problem solver that I am today.
